Here we enter possibly 'the' most eagerly awaited Fighting Fantasy gamebook; Bloodbones. This is the twenty sixth book in the successful Fighting Fantasy gamebook series, and only the second brand new Fighting Fantasy book for over 10 years! It is written by Jonathan Green, and set in lands and Western Ocean beside the continent of the Old World.

Book Description: Bloodbones lives! Cinnabar, evil Pirate-Lord and scourge of the twelve seas, is back from the dead and seeking revenge with the dark powers of voodoo at his command. Only YOU can stop the pirate captain and his crew of bloodthirsty cut-throats. Prepare to set sail on the adventure of a lifetime.

In this fantastic new adventure you are a heroic sailor seeking revenge on one of the most feared pirate-lords of Titan 'Cinnabar', a creature without remorse, a murderer, and a follower of the bloodthirsty voodoo death-god Quezkari, whose mark is the black skull.

Having sworn to have your vengeance against Cinnabar, for the past six years you have sailed the seas of Titan never forgetting a promise you made to yourself a decade ago. Throughout the years on the sea you have learned more and more about Cinnabar which leads you eventually to Ruddlestone and the notorious Port of Crabs. Here an exciting adventure unfolds as you pursue Cinnabar through the port, caves, a graveyard, the open sea and jungle... Fighting Fantasy Adventure Gamebooks in which YOU are the hero!

For more mature fans of Fighting Fantasy, this gamebook was originally proposed as the 60th book in the Penguin series. The gamebook was created within new guidelines as a shorter adventure with only 300 references, with the specific intention of being a more accessible read for younger readers. Although advertised, it has never been released until now! Further developed and extended to 400 references by Jonathan, this long overdue gamebook delivers a terrific, extremely difficult adventure with a good pace, some excellent encounters and briliant atmosphere.

The adventure is divided into several distinct sections. After a great introduction developing your role as a heroic sailor seeking revenge on the one of the most feared pirate-lords of Titan. You find yourself in Ruddlestone and the notorious Port of Crabs. Here the exciting adventure unfolds as you begin pursuing Cinnabar through the port, caves and a graveyard to locate a secret hideout. Once discovered, you set off upon the high seas to reach the remote Bone Island and an extensive jungle adventure.

Those fond of Island of the Lizard King will enjoy this section, that provides plenty of opportunities to explore. Upon the island, you have a number of tasks such as obtaining the blessing of the Cinnabar's power before eventually confront "Bloodbones" and his patron.
