Hello there Adventurers. Greetings! Welcome to the mighty Great Wizard's biography area for many of the contributory artists of the Fighting Fantasy Gamebook's. These pages will profile the current artists.

Melvyn Grant

Melvyn Grant was born in London, England, and signs his work Melvyn and also Mel Grant. He is a universal artist and illustrator who almost exclusively works on commissions internationally within the genres of fantasy, horror and sci-fi - his favourite area of work.

Deathtrap Dungeon

Mel trained traditionally and originally worked with oils, however like many contemporary artists has now has switched to creating most of his work digitally to look identical to his oil painting. He is well-known for his Fantasy work, and has worked on many covers for Wizard Books Fighting Fantasy series including The Shamutanti Hills, Kharé - Cityport of Traps, The Seven Serpents, The Crown of Kings, Sword of the Samurai and the popular Deathtrap Dungeon cover ‘DeathThrone.’

In addition to his work on FIghting Fantasy, Melvyn Grant has produced illustrations for many books, including Terry Pratchett's Where's My Cow?, The Demonata series by Darren Shan and The Bartimaeus Trilogy (USA) by Jonathan Stroud as well as album covers for Iron Maiden.
